Daily Prayers

are available from History page and clicking on Anglican, which will take you to the Church of England web site. Once there you can navigate to daily morning and evening prayers for today.

www.prayoneforme.org is supported by church groups and prayer communities across the hurch of England. They will pray the prayers. The site will be open throughout the year. The new site and it's supporting page on Facebook www.facebook.com/prayoneforme has short profiles about some of the people and groups that pray the prayers. It also links to information for those wanting to k now more about praying for themselves. Please go to the Facebook page. Pray what prayers you can and ideally, leave a note to say the prayer that has been made.

This unique and historic church in Peak Forest (High Peak), commemorates the death of King Charles I of England, at the hands of the axeman in front of the banqueting hall, Whitehall. He was declared a Saint at the restoration of the monarchy. Orthodox Churches also declared him a "Passion" Saint. Perrinchef's Royal Martyr ... describes him as "devout and punctilious in the performance of his religious duties", living his life "in the sight and and fear of God and with a single eye to His glory". Like all the saints "he sinned as have all other men; but unlike most other men, he repented deeply and sincerely of his sins". C. Bulley DD 1987 Glimpses of the Divine: A Spiritual Anthpology for Use on Every Day of the Year. Worthing, Churchman Publishing Ltd.

Saturdays Spring Fair raised £300.28. Well done everyone. Next year we are thinking of just having a social gathering with tombola and raffle only. We so enjoyed sitting around chatting and supping tea and eating gorgeous cakes and scones!
